@MrCdog85 comparing the civilised world to Somalia is hilarious. Try any type of African government hahaha. It's like pointing at Lions or Hippos and using that as evidence that freedom and human rights don't work.

The genius of democracy is that it allows the rulers to pacify the ruled more easily. In a monarchy, any injustice would immediately cause an uprising and revolts. In democracies, the NPC populace is conned into thinking they are "part of the system" and that they "benefit" from things like higher taxation or regulation, so NPCs are much less likely to rebel.
