@colinmaguire3273 I tried to find out where he was against capitalism but couldn't find anything. Actually I remember thunderf00t being for capitalism once. It would be really surprising if thunderf00t of all people was against capitalism.

@revimfadli4666 I think one of the main issues is cost. MAGLEVs are already extremely expensive. And what a hyperloop is, essentially, is a MAGLEV track with a vacuum tube around it. Much more costly and risky, and for what? 200mph extra? Nope. Because remember, it's never going to be a perfect vacuum, and air will still pool up in front of the pod, removing all benefits of the vacuum. That's why you need a big turbine in front of the pod.
