  9. Exactly. They should be heavier and larger in order to prevent this kind of collision from happening. They’re called Mansfield bars, named after the famous 1950’s actress Jayne Mansfield, who apparently died this same way. Her gruesome death led to changes in the design and construction of truck trailers.

  14. I think all vehicles since a few years ago are required to have a fuel shut-off button in the trunk, usually located above the left, rear wheel well. It’s yellow.
