  1. Police are doing everything they can to instigate some kind of violent response from protesters, in order to justify mass arrests and towing of trucks. Otherwise, there is really no blueprint in the police handbook for dealing successfully with this kind of protest; the trucks are too big to tow and at awkward and difficult angles. Tear gas doesn’t work when you’re sitting in your heated cab. Agent provocateurs are quickly spotted and outed.
