There were never any secret tunnels under Gazan hospitals; Israel built them all, decades ago. Whether or not Hamas used these tunnels is still unknown. But the IDF knew exactly where the tunnels were, and launched a military expedition to “find the mysterious terror tunnels” as a pretext for assaulting the hospitals and everyone in them: collective punishment with a veneer of justification.
