He had a gun. The kid reached for that gun and the officer had a life and death decision to make in a split second while he saw him with a gun in his hand. Obviously the cop felt he could have easily been shot, so he shot the suspect in self-defence. It seems reasonable. And That’s all a jury or a judge would need to hear to exonerate the cop and let him go free. Will his parents be arrested for child abandonment now, please?
