  33. In China it is more cost effective to kill a pedestrian or cyclist if you’ve accidentally hit and injured them. The cost of a lifetime of in-home care and rehabilitation and physical therapy can quickly drain the offenders resources, whereas funeral costs are much smaller and are also finite.
