  1. The TTC is a vast network and a city wide mad house. It requires its own police force and paramedics. It’s communication systems are antiquated, stuck in the good ole days of 1975. Collectors oftentimes have no idea their station is being bypassed or has been shut down due to some emergency at track level. They’re often the last employees to know what’s going on, you know, the same people whom the riders rely on for vital information like a shut down, a stabbing or a fire.
