  1. American culture prizes the individuality over everything else. It breeds selfishness and insular attitudes toward their fellow countryman. Roundabouts require your full attention as well as sharing and yielding to other users of the road. American drivers would rather ‘stand their ground’ than share the roundabout with other users. This is why roundabouts don’t work in the USA.
