@AkiraFelix-k2l Survived? They were thrown back for decades:
— in technologies (as example Chile proposed the most developed version of web/internet, better than we have nowadays, better than proposed US and USSR),
— they got deindustrialisation (still not restored),
— unknown number of people which country lost (both because were thrown from helicopters and ran away from this dictator; all clever people),
— especially they lost in resources.
If simplify, what is Pinochet as event? Just instrument of StateDep, because then needed access to resources of country (mainly copper), while country resisted and not wanted to be a colony.
Argentine is country which from this year could became member of BRICS. Brazil and Argentine is two most important countries of continent, as members of BRICS they could provide further steps in liberation of continent from US influence, BRICS planned to launch huge infrastructure projects and provide transfer of technologies, of course Argentine could get dozens billions of dollars. That’s why U.S made everything to prevent this. And now they launched classical “shock doctrine” (term in economy, invented by Chicago economical school of Milton, after it countries lose all own economy, industries, even people). After this Argentine will lose any importance for several decades at least.
Without jokes, we now can forget about this country at least for next 20-30 years.
