Different society:
— more equal (criminal always born new criminal, ghetto culture, in Russia de facto non exist),
— much better educated (schools everywhere gave exactly equal education, while high education is free, so it is mainly exceptional situation when you meet someone w/o university degree),
— low unemployment rate (you can find any work almost immediately; actually in Russia additionally living near 27 million of migrant workers, Soviet economic was huge, but it had in 2 times more people, so Russia constantly need more people of any profession),
— almost zero homeless, in average in Russia hypothec (huge loan to buy apartments) is finished just in 9 years, so at 35yo almost anyone already have in own property one apartments and buy second one, for kids in future),
— I assume good work of police also, because back in 1990-2000s, after dissolve of USSR and as result chaos, it was a lot of gangs everywhere. Nowadays I’m not sure they even exist. Some lonely criminals only.
