@off6848 1). In Russia weapons produce state (most of), that’s why you are wrong when comparing prices. All that money state paid to self, not to some private owners of company, shareholders and so on. Money which state “lost” is only salaries to workers (partly anyway returned back with taxes). From this point of view Su-57 is estimated not in money (it is almost free), but with amount of workers (who forced to produce pointless jets instead of useful cars), resources (even if you have unlimited resources, at any moment of time you anyway limited) and time.
For short time in Russia back in 1990s-2000s arrived class of oligarchy, but rapidly was suppressed and from 2008 non exist. So, nowadays in military industry everything (almost) exactly like in Soviet times. That’s why when you produce F-22, somewhere arrive bunch of homeless. In Russia nothing similar (but arrived in 1990s when capitalists owned industry). Also this explains why in Russia it so cheap, there are no profits and overprices.
2). f-22 arrived to fight against su-27, from that time arrived su-30 (exactly when f-22 were developed, to reduce danger from f-22), su-35 and now su-57. Also arrived, but cancelled prototypes of 5th gen Mig 1.44 (nowadays known as Chinese J-20) and Su-47. It impossible to compare. And yep, regards to missiles, f-22 can have troubles against su-27.
