@desmond-hawkins > They use this brand new thing called virtual machines Sarcasm I hope? Developed software for virtualization almost 20 years ago :D And no, virtual machine is not means it is safe place to execute some random code. There are a lot of ways how to jailbreak VM. Experienced malicious code developer can escape from any modern VM. Also, malicious code often check where it was run and in case of VM do nothing, so it is pointless to run it (only in case of automatic systems when AI make pre-work for investigators).

@uptimehalil Very possibly someone found this almost immediately, but was lazy to notify anyone. I know dozens of systems with holes. But too lazy to warn the owners :/ Mainly because reaction is inadequate, they can blame you, they call police and by logs of latest access (when you found hole just by chance and not even tried to hide youself) will again blame you. So, no, better not to say anything and be calm, then notify and get troubles for next several months.

Because this operating systems are 40 years old also, they are vulnerable by design of that years. Compare with modern systems, like Kaspersky OS. Even when you launch it on such vulnerably hardware as x86, they are protected.
