  1. You look in wrong direction. To power came traitors which dissolved USSR. They ignored referendum of whole ussr where people voted for preserving of country. They also ignored opinions of all rest soviet leaders. Yeltsin just declared creation of Russia and left USSR, even left a lot of russian lands to kazakstan with domination of Slavs (so-called russians), ignored Crimea where people on referendum voted to returning back to Russia, moreover, he traveled across whole modern Russia and called to dissolve of it (so, it could born up to 80 of additional countries). Even by modern polls (2017) almost 70% of Russians want back communism. So what? How you back it? Start else one civil war with extermination of almost 20% which against? Kazakhstan after dissolve of USSR in 1994 proposed in Russia to create new union, Yeltsin ignored it. When Putin came to power, proposal of Kazakhstan was accepted and countries launched creation of Eurasian Union (Belorussia, Russia, Kazakstan). Borders de facto already not exists, there are no customs houses, no needs in visas or passport, a lot of additional unifications, Kazakhstan even have access to modern Russian weapons (non restricted versions like for rest world) and buy everything by internal Russian prices (cost price, in tens times less of international prices).

USSR was dissolved by decision of three persons: Yeltsin, who was president of Soviet Russia, Kravchuk, who was president of Soviet Ukraine and Shushevich who was leader of Soviet Belorussia. They blocked Gorbachev when he was in Crimea during vacation, cut off him from telephone line with army, and together with violation of constitution, international laws (so-called Helsinki agreement or Final Act of the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe), without asking rest leaders and presidents of republic (all leaders were equal, to understand what they did, imagine as example how tomorrow, governor of Texas, will say that Washington from this moment not part of USA anymore, just because Texas decide that), in violation of referendum when nation voted for preserving of USSR just declared about dissolve of country. Immediately were established borders, and so on, the rest republics were forced just to accept this decision. Main decision for that was accepted by Yeltsin alone. Gorbachev planned to remove him from power, so to preserve own chair he found “the best decision” — to remove Gorbachev from power. How to do that if Gorbachev was leader of whole USSR, while Yeltsin had no chances to be elected instead of Gorbachev? Exactly, he decide to betray own nation and just to dissolve country, so, Gorbachev became leader of de facto non-existing country, while Yeltsin left the only one leader of own country — Russia. When soon parliament of Russia decide to remove Yeltsin from power and initiated procedure of impeachment, Yeltsin just entered tanks to Moscow and opened fire against White House, killed thousands of ordinary people which protected it.
