  2.  @florianlion8215  Nonsense :D First of all, in most parts of world English is useless. It is only popular in West, former British and modern US colonies. I worked a lot abroad, for a lot of years English used once — when we visited US military base in Kabul (but I failed to understand pronounce of US soldiers, nothing common with classical British English). In Africa I used French (pretty common almost everywhere) and Russian (known by almost any official). In Latin world again no place for English, when I worked in Nicaragua, even in hotel nobody knew English, I was huge surprise, because I came without preparations and was sure it is English speaking country. Surprise! In Asia again no place for English. Secondly, 21 century have no difference from any other century. In 19 century world used French, in 20 — Soviet Russian, in 21 — English, soon, in current 21 century, it will be replaced by Chinese (I’m from IT and already use more Chinese than English in my professional work; Chinese became so lazy that already not translate own data-sheets for chips like they did it before, so now everyone forced to learn Chinese, obligatory language for any modern IT specialist). And finally — of course Putin is right. Different languages describe how you think. If you use foreign language, you are losing yourself. As example I knew several conceptions which impossibly to describe in English, there are no such words. Non existence of that conceptions means non existence of such philosophy in English, such ideas, as result people behave differently. In a lot archetype of any nation is described not just by local experience (history), but by way of thinking, while way of thinking is result of language. English is perfect language for business, it is simple and strict. For humanitarian needs — total lack of vocabulary, impossibly to use.
