Even when you are not expert, it is more than enough just to listen Putin. He explained everything. 1. When was started intensive attacks of Belgorod, he said, that "if you will not stop, we will be forced to attacked on that direction". 2. Six months later it happened. Goal — "to push forces away". Kharkiv — "currently there are no any specific plans". For last 25 years there are no examples when Putin did anything unpredictable about which he not warned for months/years before.

Even if Russia will try to stop, I predict fail. In UA there are a lot of people like Azov. They of course will continue, and it means Russia will be forced to response. I remind, already was attempt to stop everything — Minsk agreement. They failed. Also let’s remember WW2. Officially it stopped in 1945, right? But exactly there it continued for next 11 years with loses of over 300k people. Because all pro-German UA forces continued to fight. What is important — it continue on territory which USSR fully controlled. Now imagine whole uncontrolled country with direct Western support… So, this is events for next ~10 years. P.S. Trump again lying. When he came to power, de facto it is he started this war of sanctions. And secretly sent weapons to UA.

Near week ago actually journalist asked Putin on conference, why you don’t move quickly. Putin said, that "it is possibly of course, but in such case we will lose more people, so army have order to move as fast as they want".

@donovandziech6015 Maybe you are right... But look on this from another side, as PsyOp: 1. When in beginning Russia sent just 120k, it rapidly captured huge territories and was right near capital. Almost won whole campaign. 2. Regards to trick with Istanbul agreement in April 22, Russia returned own troops. But when trick was discovered, it started to send them back on frontlines. And here we are — launch of that PsyOp. What happened when they declared about own incredible, awesome, epic offensive (and even promised participation of NATO)?! Russia fully stopped. It started to build own defensive line. From Autumn 22 to Summer 23 de facto nothing happened at all. Promises of offensive looks like forced Russia to stop and gave a lot of time. Initially the promised it at winter. Then at autumn. And it started only in middle of Summer. It demonstrated total bluff, but it worked (exist of course another theories and different logic from Russian POV, btw). In result offensive gave nothing of course, it failed, but it announcement for that moment was pretty good idea.

Zraihan98 At Day 1 they only in Donbas had almost 250 thousands forces and month later already had almost 1 million. While Rus sent just 120k with order which denied to use widely fire (if you forgot, all forces which Rus captured at that days, it sent back to UA, after they gave promise not to fight in future 😂). Some kind of ultra-light police operation.

Movements of the line are pointless. More important exchange of bodies. As officials published, yesterday RU got own 32, while UA got own 254. Ratio 1 to 8! Human resource is resource and is not infinity. Especially when half of population ran away abroad, while other side have in 10 times more population. When this resource will end, the line can be moved in one day for thousands kilometers.

@pashapasovski5860 False. Ukraine proclaimed own independence after tsar was overthrown by nationalists (but they immediately fall under direct control of Germany). So, when Lenin came to power, they already went away. But from point of communists it was irrelevant, communists rejected conception of countries and they wanted revolution on whole planet, to unite all people in one common state (more correctly — to cancel any state). And communists proposed this brilliant idea. It was popular and majority in Ukraine supported this idea, they arise and joined to communists, defeat Germans, Poland, White, Anarchists (they were also pretty popular) and became one of founders of Soviet Union. Germans also arise and almost became Soviet state, but in West lived too lot of too powerful elites, they suppressed communists everywhere. Later to fight with incredible popularity of communists they born fascism.

Nothing common. In 2014 in country happened US backed coup (as Victoria Nuland said, "we spent on it $5 billion"). And it could be okey (it is not the first coup there), but as first law which proposed new "authorities" — to ban usage of Russian language, native language for whole south-eastern region. It is how people upraised. Additionally, they declared WW2 criminals as state heroes and demolished monuments to Soviets. Back in 1940, western part of country served to Hitler, while Eastern were anti-fascists. Westerns always represent minority and in 2014 with US help seizure power. And no, Putin not invaded. But was officially invited by this states when they were again attacked 17 Feb 22, everything is according to 51 paragraph of UN. That’s why whole world support Russia and only former Hitler’s coalition and colonial empires — against.

In Russian army is serving 2.2 million. From them on battlefield was sent 120 thousands. Rest is 300 thousands mobilized from reserve (Autumn 2022) and 300 thousands of volunteers. It means Russia can send up to 1 million without needs to train at all, it is professional troops (but Russia hold them of course for some serious events, e.g. NATO). Additionally there are 25 millions in reserve (former officers and soldiers, they need only short train program to refresh own knowledge). While recruits — they came each day by ~1 thousand. Some of them from reserves, so they get only short train program, some came not from reserves, they get long train program (a lot of months).

They already faced with lack of people. About 2,5 years: that’s just not truth. Until this spring Moscow not moved. Initially it hit and immediately proposed peace treaty, by which UA lost nothing. In April 22 it was signed in Istanbul and Moscow declared about return of own forces. Immediately came UK and US and forced UA to continue, promised incredible help — all of this confirmed in interview Arakhamia, UA official who signed this peaceful treaty. Until Autumn ‘22 Russia waited. UA not stopped and increases own forces to 1 million. Russia at that moment had only 120k, so it for first and last time sent more — additional 300k and then allowed to local territories join to Russia (UA lost forever 4 regions — with territory of Bulgaria and population of Austria). After that UA declared about own future famous “counter offensive” which prepared best minds of US on own supercomputers. Declared at winter and it happened previous summer. All this time Russia do nothing, but built own defense line. Offensive continued until this winter and fully failed, they even not reached first lines. And only from this Spring Moscow started some movements. And second part — Putin gave answer to your journalists few days ago: “yep, we can move much faster of course, but then we will face with own loses, so we're in no hurry”. The time factor means nothing. So, who cares? It is only US do everything now to preserve front, because they have elections soon. If UA will fall, it will be catastrophic for election campaign of sleepy guy. So, if Moscow will be too fast, I bet they will throw europeans there (and it means Moscow just will use own tactical, so Europe, will disappear; because both sides have too different mentality, sadly Westerns don’t believe that it can happens).

@geoffworley5275 Even if Russia will disappear with some magic, nothing will be stopped. How?! On that territories living people (actually population equal to Austria, pretty big) who don’t want to be part of UA. UA denied for them usage of own native language, demolished all monuments and so on (what is denied to write here). They will continue own resistance even alone. They already fought for 8 years alone, so… It is possibly only two scenarios: 1. UA give freedom to this territories (yesterday they again refused this proposal, last one if I correctly understand Putin’s speech). 2. One of side will disappear (chances that it will be Russia is near zero).

@mastercabbage It was pretty strange situation in Iraq. They surrender where they could to fight. Surrender whole cities. How it possibly when city surrender? Do remember Japan, with your help they lost all cities, literally cities gone, but they anyway continued to fight until came Soviets which defeat whole Kwangtung army. They surrender only when lost all troops. While some individual soldiers from jungles continued to fight for decades after, without order they never surrender (real samurais) 😂 In my opinion, real armies is armies which never surrender. Look at UA nowadays, with rare exceptions, each battle is battle until last soldier. Cities — they transformed into fortress and battle continue for each street.

Then why they still in New Caledonia which again arise? 😅 They get vital resources there and without resources France will fall down… in Africa France and Russia literally fighting each other already for years. Maybe it is classified information in France, but Russia from time to time publish information how bodies came from there, moreover, even make movies about that events, as example Russian-CAR movie “Tourist” (2021) about battles in CAR, movie "Granite" about events in Mozambique, etc.

Russia in 2021: 6th economy in world. Russia in 2023: 5th economy in world. Russia in 2024: 4th economy in world, from beginning of year: +5% grow. Military equipment is outdated? Something old, something new, as everywhere. In most cases better than have West. By most directions — far better than have West, as example Russia use hypersonic missile, while West only dreams and have nothing similar. So? What means “war is slow”? Why it must be fast and what it means? Who said that time means something, when it means nothing? Why you decide that it is hard? Russia do what it want, as it want, when it want. Few month ago UA attacked Belgorod, Russia became angry and in less than 1 hour destroyed half of energy in UA, now imagine how hard will be winter there. Did it just with one strike. Easily. Russia declared such goal as 1) demilitarization and 2) denazification. How can you do that with fast war?) It is need a lot of time.

@t.c.w.5088 4 years to became soldier or some kind of officer? 4 years — it is high grade education in university. To became good soldier 1 year is enough and 2 years for navy (submariner). What is more already not soldier, but misc commanders and officers which can work with complicated systems (e.g. SAM systems).

When publicly declared tasks will be finished: 1. Demilitarization (1 million already gone, right now they have over 800k and recruit by ~50 thousand per month; theoretically they can recruit up to 6-7 million). 2. Denazification (tribunal already awaits people who opened monuments to SS and demolished monuments to Soviets; unclear what with EU. In several countries is all the same, they declared SS as own heroes). 3. NATO will stop violation of agreements and return to own borders (I remind, when Russia returned own troops, NATO promised not to enter even in Eastern Germany).

Everything started when US & Canada after WW2 gave shelter to SS forces from UKR, to use in so-called Cold War. And then for decades supported and funded. Roots are there. While here we already see just a top of story.
