Russia on own north put floating nuclear plant (anyone can buy such plants if want) and it produce from salt ocean fresh drinking water for whole city. To produce fresh water from salt water you need just energy and nothing more.. There are no such problem as lack of water. Also two years ago Russia successfully finished technology of closed nuclear cycle, it means now it is enough of energy from uranium for next 2-3 thousands of years.

Something like in China or Japan — safe places. Criminal level below of EU/US. Especially in Moscow. Women can walk during night alone, there are no "no go zones" in cities. In some regions criminal level is so law, that people even not close doors on own cars. @Spaceman719 That’s not true. KGB and FSB is absolutely different organizations, with different structures (FSB in 6 times less than KGB) and goals. And that’s why they have different names. KGB — means “state safety” (economical, military, technological and political intelligence, special operations, ideology safety, defense of officials, etc.), while FSB means "federal safety" (criminal police, economical police, cyber police, anti-terror). FSB is exactly like FBI. While KGB was similar to CIA.

It was the most stupid example of "sanctions". Western countries denied for Russian companies to fly over own airspace. As response Russia did the same. But the most funny thing here is that Russia almost never flew over Western countries, except when it flew exactly in that Western countries. While Western countries all permanently flew over Russia just because it is huge and in center of map. As example, it can’t be unclear when you see map of world, but actually shortest distances from US to Japan is over north — over Russia, now imagine flight from EU to Asia, Middle East — everything over Russia. And now all Western companies forced to fly additional hundreds kilometers, spend more fuel and time, while all rest companies in world fly directly. As result tickets in western companies grew in price and flight need more time than in any other non-western air company. Western companies losing clients and markets, while foreign companies only increase profits. Idk how to comment this. Just awesome :D

@lervish1966 False. In a lot countries actually English can’t help at all. As example when I worked in few African countries, most of top officials knew Russian (because they all got education in USSR) and French (official for some countries, majority know it), Afrikaans also was useful (English mainly didn’t knew even local white people). Worked in Nicaragua — they even had no menu in cafe in English, in hotel also nobody knew English (in most countries of world at least in cafe you have english menu). In exUSSR and around it (e.g. Mongolia, Afghanistan, Turkey) in dozens times more chances to meet Russian speaker than English speaker. English is useful in Western Europe and former British colonies. Also it is useful when you are software developer :)

It is pointless comparison, because life in Russia organized differently. As example if your payments for house (electricity, water, etc) exceed 20% of your pension, then difference pay state for you. If you need surgery, e.g. hip replacement (expensive surgery) or anything else, then you get it for free. Another example — pensioner want to visit sanatorium (in post. soviet republics it means similar to a spa resort, but with medical services), then again local govt give it for free or incredible cheap, so pensioners can travel on resorts each year. In general prices are less in country, moreover, when you came to shop as pensioner, they even more less. So, when coup of pensioners have pension of $250 it is more than they spend. Also, it is almost impossibly to imagine family which have no money from own past live. By statistic pensioners have on own accounts most of money :)

In Russia is low level of jobless people (<2%) and permanent lack of workers. In country just 150 millions people, while economy produce everything, from nuclear icebreakers to space ships. It need a lot of people. So, works is everywhere. There are several web sites with proposals.

Work in former McDonald — 65 000 rubles. Pointless to convert money to dollars and try to estimate is it a lot or not. Prices is different, spendings also very different. Also being local (in 95% cases means already with apartments in own property) and foreign (who have nothing) — also is very different situation. Local from this salary will spend just 1/2 or 2/3 and rest will accumulate for future, while foreigner will be forced to spend everything for apartments and need more. Btw, Russia for foreign workers is second by popularity after US. There are near 27 millions of foreign workers.

1. Monetization for Russian traffic it completely switched off 2 years ago. 2. Now it switched off any monetization for accounts registered in Russia. So, if you have Russian auditory — you earn nothing. And if you have Russian account — there are no any earnings at all even if your auditory is foreign (attempt to switch off any bloggers who show life in Russia for foreigners).

I have accounts in different banks, interest rate is bit different, in general now around 20% Mortgages — it is long story, in Russia ppl rarely take loans/mortgages just so directly. Exist a lot of state subsidy programs, so real percent which people pay far away from official which propose bank. Example: in Russian city Vladivostok (near Japan) now is building one of the largest shipyard in world, Russia already building there largest in world nuclear icebreaker and have plans to build a lot of more hugest ships in next decades. So, city need a lot of workers. That’s why state declare that mortgage there is just 2%. Another example — country need more kids, so for young family (below 35yo) there are program of 6%, plus payments for born of kids which possibly to spend on mortgage. Another example — country need more IT specialists (like everywhere in world they often went to California), so for them — 5%. And so on, dozens of more examples and very different programs (e.g. for 5 years of work of teacher/doctor in rural area mortgage will be fully paid there by state).

@joshgh8844 I remember how we visited US military base in Kabul, boss took me as translator (I’m not translator actually, but only who could speak English). So, when we came happened unexpected — I failed to understand anything what US soldier told. He had American English and it had nothing common with English which I heard before (mainly British from British television). Years later when I traveled in US, I discovered that he had southern accent, my nightmare because I still can’t understand it :/ I suppose people understand American English only because watching too lot of Hollywood movies. I’m not (last time when I watched US movie — 2016). So, actually, American English is absolutely unclear when you not worked with it before.

Don’t watch Soviet movies as someone above suggested. All of that subs are useless, just automatic translation (when “okey” translated as “eat” and so on), also they are pretty old and modern people talk a bit different. Better find modern movies, they have professional subtitles. But movies itself is also is not the best approach, better search for series. When you see from episode to episode same actors with same voices and manner to speak, it is much better than one movie. Also, better search for comedies. Try to watch Кухня (Kitchen), it is most popular series which became whole universe (3 movies and 4 another series with same actors). More than enough.

Russia gave to Germany not just gas, but rare enriched gas from which was possibly to make plastics and what is main — ultra cheap fertilizers. Also provided heavy oil, from which possibly to produce goods (half of chemistry industry based on it), whole rest world sold light oil which is used only to produce fuel. Heavy oil in whole world have only Russia, Venezuela and Iran (explains a lot in US behavior to that countries, isn’t it?). So Germany lost not just cheap energy, but over half of own chemistry industry and possibility to produce cheap food. That’s really funny

About apartments and luxury cars — you are half right. In Soviet times everyone got apartments from state and state do max to mix people, so in one building lived everyone: from famous scientist to garbage collector. Because all people are equal. Society was monolithic. Everything was equal. And it was irrelevant where you are living. But now it changing. Arriving houses for rich and for poor. People slowly moved. And it is awful. Society again fall to that famous ugly capitalism when exist social segregation. What it means: after several decades rich will be live only in zones for rich, while poor in zones for poor. In zones for poor will be schools with bad teachers, while in zones for rich schools with best teachers. It means if you born poor, you already never will have chance to became somebody. In zones for poor will be increased criminality. And with time such zones will be transformed into famous no-go zones like in any Western capitalistic country. Why in Russia nowadays possibly to walk anywhere during day and night? Because just yesterday it was Soviet country and society still is not divided. But you already can find zones for rich where regular people can’t even enter, they are closed. Process is going. We just see first generation. So, future is awful. Like was past prior to 1917.

Islam is traditional religion in Russia, with history of 1100 years (Christianity in Russia have history of just 1000 years, for one century less). A lot of Russian nations are muslims. On Far East — Buddhists. In future, very likely, Russia will rejoin with own former republics, a lot of which represent Islamic cultures. No. Christian Russia left somewhere back in middle ages, from 1500s Russia is also one of the largest Islamic state. And then also Buddhistic state. In general all of this only destroy country, Russia is too large and different, attempt to establish in it any religion will only tear country apart. Returning of religions after dissolve of USSR already demonstrated how it can be ugly. Typical example — when parents forbid marriages, because some are Christians, while other Muslims. Before such mixed marriages were over 30%. And what is now? Religion only divide people, cultures, destroy country. Also, it earn too lot resources and people. Instead of doing something important, it forced people to spend time and resources on non-existing.

Ну и второе — вполне возможно, что покупают в силу привычки (допустим после завышения цен). Но это исключительно инерционный эффект, на следующем этапе у вас продажи падают в ноль, потому что покупатели отказываются от товара. И даже снизив цену становится невозможно набрать прежний спрос, потому что покупатели отказываются не просто товара, а от привычки. Допустим ел человек шоколад, он стал слишком дорог, человек себе обьясняет, что он якобы отказывается от сладкого (первичная причина конечно же цена), поэтому даже после падения цены человек к шоколаду не возвращается, для продавца клиент утерян. На этом немало бизнесов прогорело, они пытаются нащупать новый потолок цен, задирают цену, спрос сохраняется, продавец радуется, а потом обвал, снижение цен ниже себестоимости и все равно банкротство.

Чтобы потом, ну собственно вот уже почти-почти, направить на РФ. Ты социологические опросы то посмотри по годам, по той же Германии. 10 лет назад никто даже представить не мог там идти в армию, сейчас уже каждый второй подросток мечтает о военной службе у них) Когда они там пишут будут готовы на нас идти, году к 2029. Ну вот. А миграция — да они при желании за неделю от всех избавятся, я прямом и переносном смысле. Потому кстати и пускают исключительно тех, кто внешне отличался, а например для жителей бСССР путь был закрыт, особенно для РФ :) Ну коммон, что тут сложного в понимании? Тем более что ты сам же вот дал совет по этому же направлению, видно даже не понимая, сколько сил и средств было вложено туда, чтобы подобные идеи там изничтожить

Поставь себе нулевые тарифы и вообще не плати. У меня есть симка со старым тарифом по минутам, на случай если вдруг потребуется куда-то зачем-то позвонить (за лет 5 и 500 рублей не потратила). Ну и на куче остальных симок просто нулевые тарифы, использую для авторизации в банках и на разных сервисах. Там главное раз в 90 дней не забыть 1 смс послать, чтобы их не заблокировал оператор и всё. Итого достаточно закинуть 10 рублей и хватает на годы.

@Compunctus It is because you are lazy to file a tax form :) But you could include in this form your payments for visits of fitness center and get refund part of this money from taxes on you bank account ) Because state in such way stimulate people to have sport and be healthy. Same with spendings on medical drugs, you can return part of money from own taxes. Or for touristic trips inside of Russia. There are hundreds of such things about which you just never cared.
