@lpg12338 , Look at the late 1990s, GM made the SST, Chrysler made the Prowler and seem that there were a couple other odd models that came out a few year preceding 2001, 9/11.
In 2005 Ford released the new Ford GT, three years before the crash of 2008.
In the late 1960s and early 1970s all the manufactures were releasing these big block super cars like the Super Bird, Dodge Dayton, Mustang Boss 429, Big block Camaros and Firebirds then came the oil embargo and crash of 1973. Which lead to over a decade of the worst cars ever produced.
Back in the fifties, the Edsel, fuel injected Corvettes and Belairs then the downturn in the late fifties.
This goes all the way back to before WW1, where car makers predicted downturns and wars. Each time the economic downturn took out auto manufacturers, WW1 and WW2 took out dozens each. The late fifties took out brands like Studebaker and Edsel. 2008 GM brands went away.
Right before WW2 one of the most legendary US car makers Duesenburg built their final cars.
Maybe it's a trend, maybe it's my imagination but I'm trying to prepare for it. Just hoping I have the two to four years.
