  2. I think it's a uniquely perfect, minimalist movie. I flew to Estes, Colorado 20 yrs ago. A local girl & I were dating. I walked into the lobby, viewed the piano & antique vehicle parked on display. Gf told me which room was THE room in the movie. It had a hamstered height due to the effects of a staircase angle. Not a great room. Turn round and you look out a window. A room with a view is an understatement! After our look out-& all around viewing of the snowy landscape ended we, of course, immediately had sex. Like I said the room was nothing to brag about, so I can called the front desk, & went back to the lobby, checked out, & then back in to a more spacious room w/her. I was told that this room from The Shining was always much sought after, & booked all year. But I just walked in & it was available for my use. ✔️
