@christophergreen6595 He's merely just asking to be respectful of a subject that they're not knowledgeable of. Religious studies is out of their arena, per se. It would be different if they were the likes of Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, just to name a few.

@JF-wk5zo That's not what he's saying. There are detractors who are very knowledgeable in the Bible only trying to refute it because they don't find it authentic written piecee of history. The Jesus Seminar, for example, is an organization dedicated to debunk the Bible and its accounts, particularly that Jesus wasn't who the Gospels portrayed. But, they have issues of their own with the methods they use to authenticate historical documents, but I digress.

@eh1702 What are you talking about? Tyt is a political commentator show, not a show dedicated to discussing world religions/atheism/agnosticism. They don't have any credentials in the field of religious studies, philosophy or theology; or not that I'm aware of. They're merely stating condescending opinions whenever the topic is brought up. 😅

I remember attending Christian church conferences in the 90s, Baptist church that is, where other Baptist churches from small towns that are not affiliated with any large organizations join these annual conferences where there's sermons, Gospel choir, free food, free hotels, lots of activities for the youths, games where you can win prizes, sporting tournaments, etc. But this? Sword swallowing guy? Oh how things have changed drastically. Modern day mainstream Christianity is moving towards the political arena, and in my opinion, growing heresy in America.
