  1. A secular Constitution allows the establishments of religion and churches but not establishment of a religious government. Republican-Christians somehow sees the secular Constitution as a threat to their religious beliefs, but until the government is going around banning churches and burning Bibles, then it's best to keep "Separation of Church and State" to prohibit government over-reach on religion and to not be an authoritarian religious ideology. And I'm pretty sure the early Christians were persecuted and struggled to keep the Christian faith separated from government as it emerged from the religiopolitical rule of Jewish and Greco-Roman society in the first century.
