  4. Do not let these false preachers deceive. They misinterpret Romans 13 as governing as ordained by God. It makes the clear distinction between God's Divine Authority and the authority of men. Paul clearly teaches to resist and unjust government but at the same time we should still subject ourselves to the laws of government. Today, we use our first amendment rights to protest and is lawfully protected, for example. Romans 13 clearly teaches separation of church and state.
