The asteroid strike that provided for the rise of homo sapiens could be a highly usual random occurrence and Earth had been seeded to produce dinosaurs which disrupted the "normal" or even intended development of life of Earth. Great Britain colonized New Zealand as a farm colony to feed the industrial economy of Great Britain. Perhaps Earth with dinosaurs was a food planet for another civilzation who will return to harvest of dinosaurs. Earth is food planet that went wrong.
