The Territorial Defense still needs more training. The instances of Ukrainian troops refusing to fight and returning the arms to the Army have largely been from Territorial Defense Force troops and even more importantly officers who were rushed into battle with too little training. I hope the 10,000 Ukrainians now in the UK for training will be able to transfer that knowledge to other Ukrainian soldiers after the training in the UK. I should add that the US Military was very pleasantly surprised and impressed by how quickly the Ukrainian soldiers learned how to use US and NATO weapons. I hope that also proves true of their training in the UK, and I expect so. Where is a will, there is a way. Without a doubt the Ukrainians have the will.
