This briefing from an instructor the Military Academy of the Austrian Army has estimates about personnel and material lost in the Donbas so far: War in Ukraine: Luhansk has fallen - what's to expect? - YouTube That same instructor did an analysis of the Donbas some weeks ago.  However, the analysis does an excellent job of explaining the situation so someone can see why the most recent developments occurred.  The analysis explains why the Ukrainians withdrew from Luhansk so rapidly, and it was clearly the right thing to do. By the way, I learned from other reports that the Wagner Group was instrumental in breakthrough in Propasna, and even the pro-Ukrainian commentators expressed alarm when Propansa fell to the Russians, especially because Propasna occupies the high ground.  With respect to the Russian Army relying on artillery, I recommend watching this video about a 1999 book from a Russian General about the tactical approach to battles that the Russians use.
