Dual citizen US/UK here, and I believe we should do even more to support Ukraine and do it faster. Ukraine asked for HIMARS months before they got them. Just imagine where they would be if we had given them HIMARS when they asked for it. I do think Ukraine getting Abrams tanks would be a mistake for Ukraine. A 70 ton Abrams tank is poorly suited for the Ukrainian terrain. Ukraine should get Leopard tanks instead as they have asked, but that Germany has stopped. Spain wanted to give their Leopard tanks to Ukraine, and now Finland, Norway, Sweden and Poland want to do it. They just need Germany's permission. Germany does not even need to send the tanks themselves although they should.
