@gerrycastlemanwarde5933 They should. We don't need all those fancy German cars. We can use Japanese ones.

@Gopferteckel Yeah I loved that "I am no military expert" comment. He should have stopped right there when hr said it.

@shawnshazam1912 This is bad for Germany's reputation in the International Community and could fuel customer resistance to buying German products in the future. Of course, diplomacy is self-serving, but you may need to take a longer look at what serves your purposes best. Being a stumbling block is bad for business in the future.

@silasnelson3116 At seventy (70) years old all I can do is vote to have my tax dollars spent on support for Ukraine, and give direct financial assistance to Ukraine, which I do by supporting a friend's family in Ukraine.

"Reasonable" means Leopard Tanks. What is Germany's problem? Do they want to wait until Russia attacks Germany?

@zadovrus1624 Russians negotiate only when you hold a gun to their heads and, to quote from "The Godfather" you say, "Either your brains or your signature will be on that treaty." Russians only understand force. I wish that was not true, but just look at history. The Russians are conducting themselves true to their form.

@galanthuman2157 Well, don't make it a habit, but just be prepared to "go to court" if you do. So, break the contract and see what happens? I think that Germany withholding spare parts because you broke the contract is unlikely. Especially when Sweden could pick up the slack. Yeah some of the parts are likely proprietary and cover by Intellectual Property agreements. However, in for a penny, in for a pound. Break the contract. Ask for forgiveness rather than as for permission.

A German friend of mine wrote me this comment after watching this report: "This guy is particularly detestable, and, sadly, is too representative of the contemporary SPD. It has rejected the legacy of Ernst Reuter and has embraced the neutralism of Kurt Schumacher, which is a shame. The Greens are the most resolute supporter of Ukraine in Germany these days. Thank God for Frau Baerbock."
