30 grand a year starting salary, partly trained with no experience. Give them a pay cut.

@hahahahahah9010 A thousand hours? What is that? Six months experience. It's nothing. Name another profession that pays graduates anything like that.

@chrismurphy6070 There are a grand total of 650 MPs in the UK. There are over 250,000 registered doctors. I suggest MPs pay is totally irrelevant.

@ColaScan Just because they are sometimes saving lives doesn't mean they can hold the country to ransom. I remember Harold Shipman and I remember the doctors who were terrorists. Making saints out of workers is madness.

@hydra66 Many jobs invlove working extremely long hours. Finance, Architecture. Maybe if they paid them less they could share the work out more equitably and be able to hire more people.

@hydra66 Are you suprised that public healthcare can't compete with the price gouging that happens in countries with private healthcare? Why does the BMA restrict the nunber of places at medical school? It sounds like a racket.
