  9. Battery-powered vehicles are a zero-sum game. The greater the range, the greater one or more of related factors become prohibitive. All of the following factors come into play, in an and/or scenario. If you (want to) increase the range, some combination of the following will have to happen. Either the initial cost the battery will be too much, or the replacement cost of such a battery will become too expensive, or the size and weight of the battery will be too much, or the charging time will be too long, or the charging will become too expensive.

They will do it faster and cheaper. You will appreciate their skill in making corruption profitable. To be fair, most of their products actually work and are reliable. There is one thing that China lacks, and that is a Swiss style hygiene and cleanliness. If you go to a 5 star hotel in Beijing, you will find that most surfaces that are touched by clients are covered by a patina of sticky oily veneer. They simply don't do a "deep" clean. It's the same stuff you will touch on the back of a chair in a Chinese restaurant in the West.

And those who park in EV charging bays are not doing it because they don't like EVs. Frankly dear, they don't give a damn. The reason they park in EV spots is because they couldn't find another parking space. It's ridiculous to call them EV haters.

There would be zero EVs, because without a threat that distorts the natural reasoning about transportation, there is no objective rationale for wanting EVs rather than ICE vehicles. It's up to everyone else to figure out how to deal with it, and I recommend making China manufacture in countries where it hopes to sell stuff. That way the Western working class will have jobs, and the product will not be as cheap and outcompeting everyone on price.

Where the rubber hits the road is who can continue to sell whatever product globally. And in that regard, the winner is China. There are niche markets that can be dominated by specialized businesses like Tesla. But it's only a matter of time before bigger players figure out the game, and will take over. There is a saving grace for Tesla, as many global manufacturers are backing out of EVs, leaving any residual demand for Tesla to take advantage of.

Celebrities who buy a Cybertruck are not really buying it for its attributes like economy, practicality, or even environmentally friendly features. They are buying it for a meme that Musk successfully created. And Musk gets marketing. I don't believe anyone about anything until I have done as much as possible to verify whatever the source is spewing, and I am unable at this time to find valid and reliable information about the alleged rusting problem on stainless steel on the Cybertruck. Can you offer some impartial information on this?

Car dealerships are business people. They do what makes money. It's that simple. No one wants a car that cannot reliably and repeatedly get you to and from your desired destination. And it doesn't matter if most of the time you make mini drives to your office or the grocery store. It's the time you go on vacation outside of recharging stations, like driving to Yellowstone Park. In order to do that in the absence of a sane vehicle, you would have to rent an electric one. EVs are a tool for Globalists to corral us into ghettos, where they can control us so we don't gather and don't exercise the "right of free assembly."

And as much as I want Elon Musk to succeed because he is the last (vestige) voice of industrialists advocating for Free Speech, EVs are the primary tool to enslave us, and return us to Feudalism. I don't oppose your wanting to make money, but let's not overplay this, do it entirely on the basis of what makes sense, apart of Climate Hysteria which is designed to screw us all. Suppose global temperatures go up by 10 degrees. All that will do is to make plants grow. And if this temperature increase lasts a few million years, we might even get dinosaurs evolving again. There is simply nothing wrong with temperatures increasing by a few degrees. Yes, we cannot get close to what our bodies maintain, because the chemical processes that maintain our biology will not work as well. The maximum temperature allowable for our survival is about 45 degrees Celsius. Arab countries get that on average throughout the day, so we know human beings can somehow survive temperatures higher than that.
