  5. @atariukass1  They were not fighting for "freedom." But yes, Lithuanians fought along with the Poles and defeated the Teutonic Knights at Grünwald in Poland. Lithuanians also fought against the Russian Empire. What is most impressive is how Lithuanians successfully fought against Germans who were trying to convert them to Christianity. It took the Germans at least a century to finally Christianize the Lithuanians, and that was only because there were more Germans than Lithuanians in the fighting.
