Both of you are underestimating China's healthcare, their population is much healthier than ours because of quality healthcare and access to natural and very effective treatments that don't cost much. In every Chinese hospital they use Vitamin and mineral IVs for their coronavirus patients. Our medical doctors behave like vitamins are a joke and we need "real" medicine so you will not see doctors prescribing Vitamin IVs in this country. So much for "real" medicine, isn't it? We might not know what is going on in China but we see a complete failure of our healthcare and it is real, very real. Oh, and by the way, I've used Vitamin+mineral IV for pneumonia and it helped a lot. If it wasn't for that, I would have needed second course of antibiotic when the first one almost killed me.

  19. I can't consider private school for my children because we are a low-income family, plus my husband and I are immigrants. However, I've been homeschooling my kids (using a very good DVD program) since kindergarten (since their birth basically) in addition to working full time from home most of the time. Both of my kids have disabilities. My oldest son's ACT score was 33 at age 15, and his GPA is 4.0 (with 98% average). Everyone who can't afford private school should consider homeschooling.

It is very good that you do not hate all the Muslims and neither do I and neither does Trump. The problem is that you will never know when an ordinary, peaceful Muslim will turn into an Islamic terrorist. It seems to have happened so quickly and so unexpectedly in many cases and now we have to deal with the devastating consequences of their deeds. My husband lived in the Muslim region in Russia and he told me that it is in the character of a Muslim when they can greet you and feed you at their home during the day and stab you as soon as you left their home in the evening if they did not like something you did or said. It is in their nature to not value life and it just seems to me that you really have very little knowledge about Muslim customs and traditions and in my opinion it is dangerous for you and your family. Hope God keeps you safe and gives you wisdom.

It is like a bad dream and needless to say it makes me so unhappy but I have no choice because I am Russian and the ordinary Russians suffer greatly from sanctions and Ben wants America to "be in Putin's face more". Well, good luck. He is not getting my vote. Oh, and please do not think I support Putin on everything he does. I do not. But when your pension was cut by 50% as a result of inflation caused by sanctions and you do not have enough to eat, this is cruel. Why do seniors have to pay for those in politics? They did not participate in the war in Ukraine, yet they have to suffer. This is totally unfair. The effect is actually the opposite - Putin's popularity among Russians is so high that his opposition has lost all the chances to be in power for the next decade probably. When do those in power and those who support them finally start thinking not only about their own political ambitions but about the poor people they drive to poverty even more? If you were an immigrant, would you support this kind of action against your people? My dad who is retired now cannot afford to buy gas, sits home all day saving money to buy food. Washington has no clue about customs of each country they try to arrange revolutions in. You see I do not like it that the majority of Russians do not want to influence those in power. That has always been like this, the entire Russian/Soviet history. They would rather support their Tzar no matter if they are poor or not. Can your reach a goal of changing peoples' minds by imposing sanctions on them? This has a totally opposite effect! Isolating Russia will affect not only Europe like it did already but later America will feel the effects as well. The Russian bear is unpredictable when you try to be "in its face". Most democratic opposition in Russia opposes sanctions right now. Thank you Obama for destroying the opposition in Russia! While before sanctions over a hundred thousand people were out in the streets protesting against Putin in downtown of Moscow, now this number of people has greatly dropped and if you try to organize a protest and go there out in the streets, the ordinary people passing by might beat you up for doing that, not even the police, the ordinary people who support Putin because they are angry at America and think the opposition is paid by the American government like it was in Ukraine. In China (I hope you are not Chinese and I am not wasting my time telling you this) but anyway... they have 2 equal branches of medicine: Western medicine (basically our American medicine) and Traditional Chinese Medicine, TCM which is basically herbs and acupuncture. TCM is a TRUE preventative care that costs very little in China, every Chinese has access to it and it takes care of many health problems BEFORE they become serious enough to require surgery or medications. Some parts of Europe (for the most part) have very similar healthcare system to the Chinese one. If healthcare cannot prevent disease successfully, then it becomes SICKcare. Unfortunately, the big pharmaceutical corporations mostly care about money. If you can imagine that overnight our medical care is transformed into something like in China, we will have a lot fewer people who would need drugs and surgery. Healthy people = less income. Not going to happen. Alternative medicine (herbal and homeopathic) cost way less comparing to most prescription medications. Prevention is key to good health.

  123.  @SousChef77  In that case and for better protection, you need an N95 respirator mask. Too bad you can't buy it now at a reasonable price so that might not be an option right now. Please make sure you wear gloves too, disposable are the best so you don't touch what other people touched with bare hands. See if you can buy hydrogen peroxide to sanitize your produce with (they sell it in a spray bottle too which you can refill). It is better than nothing. Otherwise, wait at least 5 days before you touch any of your groceries with bare hands. All plastic needs to be sanitized with alcohol.

  124.  @The_Man8719  I am a homeschooling mom who came to America at 26 a couple of decades ago. Both of my sons are disabled because of medical mistakes. Yes, I am that lucky :(. My older boy was homeschooled since he was born. At age 15, his ACT score was 33. He is 19 and has a 4.0 GPA with only 2 courses left in his bachelor of science degree in computer science. My younger boy is autistic and loves being homeschooled! Homeschooling is the best decision I've made for my kids. Trusting medical doctors in this country was obviously the worst decision I've ever made.

Boycotting 3M is not a smart decision right now because if we start wearing self-made masks, we will not protect ourselves like we would if we wear the respirators made by 3M and, therefore, we will be endangering hundreds (if not thousands) of people around us.

In America the same thing happens when you DO wear a mask. I am not sure if it is ignorance or stupidity. We have internet and we still do not care. We have internet and all of us KNEW what was going on in China. Why didn't we all prepare by buying PPE when it was still available? Why didn't we stock up when we knew for sure the virus spreads very quickly and it does NOT KNOW borders? Self-made masks will not give the same protection as the factory made respirators do. That is the fact. We have NO ONE to blame but ourselves if we did not get prepared. Sorry. Christianity is not only about being nice, it is about telling the truth. Of course, I feel very compassionate towards those who suffer but we all are responsible for our bad choices.

These two political systems do NOT allow people to profit from anything they manufacture, so there are no corporations, no businesses are allowed, and EVERYTHING is owned by the government. The most you can do is sell the produce you grow in your backyard in small amounts at a farmer's market and even there the government controls your prices. So when some of you say that the Biden administration is socialist and wants socialism, it shows your ignorance. America will never be socialist (or communist) and, by the way, Canada is not socialist either. I am so tired of hearing this nonsense on Fox. I always voted for Republicans but now I will not be participating in elections. Both sides have so many faults, there is so much lying and overexaggerating going on, that I am just tired of it.   150. China hid the facts about this virus at the beginning and it needs to be kept accountable for it, not doubt about it but we did not help the situation either. The flights from China should have been banned a lot sooner than they were. Wearing masks is still a recommendation for every American, not an obligation like in China which is one of the reasons why China has 2 deaths per million of population, we have 62 deaths/million.

  160.  Wally Wally  You can't expect someone who has been in power for 20 years to "grow up"! They are too old and need to LEAVE. Russian people have too much patience with their government and have a tendency toward monarchy, which is very sad. The situation is changing and I hope we will soon see a different Russia, a free country that will defeat corruption, support businesses and develop its economy. All of that will help Russia to become more powerful and that is not what everyone in the West wants. Just keep that in mind.
