I think what's pointless is helping to elect a president for the hundredth time who does not care to fix his country's healthcare, make his country safer, or stop homelessness and mental health crises. You'd be surprised, but compared to America, Russia has much lower crime rates, much better healthcare (doctors do house calls in Russia for even simple colds, among other things, and it has good preventative care), pretty much does not have homeless people, has good mental healthcare (you will not see mentally sick people walking around killing people or defecating on the streets); Russia has much better education and safer schools when parents are not afraid to send their kids to school or college. You would not know what it's like, would you?

@kevinpollak8373 Are you in Donbass? Did you visit Donbas between 2014 and 2022 to know the Ukrainian army was not being aggressive toward them? They were k-ling them left and right. If you only watch Western media, you will never know the truth. I speak Russian, and I have followed this conflict since the very beginning, but I did not watch the Russian channels since I don't have access to them. I watched English-speaking reporters in that region covering the war. The Ukrainian army, for SURE, was k i l # i n g civilians in Donbas. They did it for EIGHT years, and finally, Putin had enough of it. It all started when RADA removed the Russian language as the second official language in the country, including Donbass. Imagine you and your ancestors have been speaking Russian for centuries on that land (over 30% of Ukrainians spoke only Russian and studied only in Russian in Ukraine; that's more than in Canada for the French population), imagine the French Canadian population can no longer study in French in schools, have legal documents issued in French or in official settings. That's what happened in Ukraine with the Russian language, and just because it was Russian, it was okay with the West. Seriously, do you not see a problem with this? What would the Quebecians do if denied their basic right to speak their language? You know what would be - bloodshed. Same as what happened in Donbas.
