@mavis-qf8qu I think it's a little silly for people on the left, who correctly grasp that collaborating with right wing workers is different from collaborating with right wing demagogues, to turn around and praise Saagar for being a "good" conservative. And I think Saagar absolutely has a grift. That first article I linked does a good job explaining why. It's the grift fascists have always used: appropriate left slogans for the purpose of nationalism. It's exactly what Tucker does. If Tucker deserves unmasking and ridicule, so does Saagar.

@marlock6573 I don't think he's that up front. This is anecdotal, but I've seen dozens and dozens of comments about how progressive he is etc. Go look up his interview on TMBS, that's all the comments are. Rising does function as - grift is maybe not the right term. Ruse, deception, con? It launders the right under the silly cable news conceit of both-sidesing everything for the sake of "balance," but the result is anything but. And why would it need to be? What's the proper balance between progressivism and authoritarian conservatism?
