People across the world have a baffling range of diets, and there are some that consume virtually only meat and remain quite healthy, but the average person raised in an industrial society on a variety of foods would probably not be able to adapt rapidly to a purely carnivorous diet. Moreover, touted examples like the Inuit diet, while mostly consisting of meat, include portions of the animals and some plants necessary to ensure adequate nutrient levels. For instance, I don't see how JP's all red meat diet could provide enough vitamin C to prevent serious health effects like scurvy.
