Very likely, their vote will pass to the VP. 3) Because most states bind electors to the popular vote, it absolutely is worth asking how the popular vote total will be counted should Biden (or Trump) die mid-election. I've given you way too much credit by responding. Next time, look this stuff up before typing in boomer all caps.

  17. I guess to answer my own question, it's kind of complicated and depends of when it happens. If Biden (or Trump) croaked before the election, the party would select a new nominee, likely Kamala (but we all know Hillary is the pog choice) and any ballots already cast for Biden would default to the new nominee. Anything after election day becomes dicey and may require resolution by the Supreme Court.

  21.  @BH-fi1sb  I mean, you just watched a video on the Brooks Brothers Riot, in which members of Bush's recount committee and staff participated. Bush may not have instituted a travel ban on Muslims, but he oversaw the mass despoliation of the Middle East, the creation of the racist DHS and ICE, the rise of a surveillance apparatus that profiled Muslims. Trump's war crimes don't come close to Bush's. The assassination of Solemani was flagrant and illegal, but we can't compare that to a war of aggression, described as the principal war crime fton which all others derive, that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis and Afghanis. (Bush also had plausible intel that 9/11 would happen and did nothing.) Covid and Trump's weakening of the judiciary and regulatory apparatus may prove to be egregious enough to earn him designation as the worst modern US president. Ultimately, I don't think ranking them is terribly important. What is important is to remember their records and the impact they had. I guess I worry that by cordoning Trump off as "the worst," many will forget who Bush really was as president.

Should the situation become so dire that the left has to intercede because the liberals are too cowardly or unable to defend themselves, then the left needs to leverage some concessions, not empty promises, not task forces - real power.

I don't live in a swing state like Florida, so the chances of a riot like that happening anywhere near me are effectively zero. But my point stands. I'm not defending the Democrats. They can do that this time. The Brooks Brothers Riot isn't even a good example for you since that was an (ineffective) attack on the recount, not an attack on minorities or working class people, which I do think warrants action.
