  1.  @stickjohnny  No, it's not true, exactly for the reasons explained in the video. The vaccine prevents transmission by preventing people from contracting the virus in the first place and by reducing the time you're contagious. Any way you cut it, transmission rates are lower when more people are vaccinated. You and Dore are playing a semantic game without looking at the evidence and implications.

  2.  @stickjohnny  No, I'm sorry, but this isn't that complicated, and it's been explained to you in plain language several times. The vaccines do prevent the transmission of the virus, by a lot; they just happen not to prevent it as well in breakthrough cases. That's not the point either you or Jimmy are making. Instead, you're both acting as if failure to stop 100% of infections is tantamount to doing nothing. In the real world, that's not the bar health interventions are held to. I'm sorry you don't understand how doctors use words like "can" and "prevent," but that misunderstanding isn't the basis for an argument.
