Probably going to have to fill out a lot of forms, get doctor's approval, which you can't get because you don't have a doctor because you're sick and can't work and can't afford health insurance and can't get it for free because you can't prove that you're sick and can't work...and then if you do manage to submit the form with doctor's approval and the government accepts it, then maybe you get benefits, subject to periodic review. Something like that is my guess.

As with a lot of GOP talking points about cutting back on government, this kind of plan would just increase bureaucratic oversight because now you have to have an entire invasive apparatus designed to investigate just who exactly is or is not able-bodied according to some arbitrary definition. It would increase the oversight of ordinary people (particularly those with disabilities or injuries) and subject them to even harsher scrutiny and discipline. It doesn't mollify the government; it hands it a truncheon.
