The election was heavily weighted in her favor, and there was an obvious effort on the part of party leaders, media hosts, and pundits to marginalize Sanders. Add to that the fact that her campaign "legally" laundered money by stealing from local democratic offices and it's really hard to take seriously the idea that Sanders participated in a fair election.

The thing that Sam always leaves out when talking about who voted for whom is the fact that we have an electoral college, so, like it or not, some votes are worth more than others. If that woman lived in a swing state, then voting for Trump on a lark is beyond unconscionable. If, however, she lived in a securely blue state, then you may disagree with her or think she was foolish, but she did nothing to elect Trump. It's not fair, but that's how it is right now.
