  2. There was an article in the WSJ last year or the year before about how something like 80-90% of the charter/voucher schools in Minnesota (iirc) are religious schools. So it is incontrovertible that government funding of private schools is being used to push religion. Also, the "voucher" policy is used to circumvent post-bellum legislation that made it illegal for the federal government to fund religious schools. Instead of going directly to the school, the money from the voucher passes from the parents, who perform the ritual of "choice," then on to the school, creating an indirect, and therefore technically legal, route to funding. Some sneaky shit. Watch out.
