  2. Robert is evidently still too butthurt over HRC's loss to comprehend a basic argument. This is NC's argument: If you look over the record, any time America engaged in nefarious foreign policy--e.g. Nicaragua, Greece--you can find the Western press pushing a narrative of Soviet threat to cover our own misdeeds. That may or may not be true--it's probably mostly true--but that's his argument. Robert's trying to make it out like NC's is saying the opposite, viz., take any instance of Soviet aggression and you'll find underneath it a corresponding American aggression, which has obvious methodological problems besides failing to address the problem of how politics and the media work together to conceal American atrocities and rogue behavior. And when I said butthurt, I meant butthurt. His posture is reflexively defensive. He spends all his time criticizing others over whom he has almost zero control (Trump, Putin), splitting hairs, and apologizing for power ("but they're worse," "they do it too!").
