  4.  @Cettywise  Everyone can nitpick about the Cuba thing, but Mandela has been so thoroughly whitewashed and revered as the ender of apartheid that no one is going to question Bernie for quoting that particular communist. Moreover, Cuba was a major ally with the ANC in abolishing apartheid, and no one is dumb enough to say that wasn't a good thing, not Pete with his 4% black support, not Biden with his stories about getting arrested in SA. So in a subtle, tacit way he got to prove his point wrt Cuba.

  5. I really don't understand the centrist strategy. They inveigh against Bernie because he can't win with the mythical moderate Republican, but they go in hard on gun control, a major issue for Republican voters.
