  1. Obviously those exceptions are implied. The doctor is assuming his audience is smart enough to figure that out. He overestimated you. The people administering the vaccine should ask you if you have known allergies to ingredients in the vaccines. In all likelihood, if you're allergic to an ingredient in one vaccine, you'll still be eligible for one of the others. If you are susceptible to clotting, you can skip the J&J vaccine and get an mRNA vaccine. Etc. If you absolutely cannot take any vaccine for legitimate medical reasons, fine. That small percentage of people is tacitly implied when doctors encourage people to get vaccinated.

  2. Except the whole point of getting vaccinated is to avoid getting sick in the first place. You get a good amount of protection and you never have to be sick to attain that protection. It's ludicrous to get sick so that you're uh then protected from getting sick from the thing that already made you sick...Makes no sense.

He seems to be a bumbling bureaucrat, but that has nothing to do with what are effective health measures or with the current state of research. The fact that your only way to engage with people on covid is to complain about Fauci is, first, extremely weird, and second, it gives away that you have nothing interesting say, probably because you've convinced yourself that taking a facile contrarian position, requiring no research or insight, is a substitute for actually knowing what your talking about or being about to form a rational and critical opinion.
