@YakubTheScientist8841 No, that would be if the OP was saying Norm or Benny were correct because they have xyz credentials, but they're just saying that these people, regardless of their opinions, are at least qualified to have a serious, detailed conversation about the topic; Destiny is not. PhDs studying astrophysics are qualified to attend a scientific conference; the local ham radio enthusiast or stargazer is not, and those comparisons are being very generous to Destiny.

@sid6554 Can you people please actually look up what the appeal to authority fallacy is? Saying that someone has qualifications or extensive knowledge on a subject, and therefore should be taken more seriously than someone with none, is not a fallacy. One would hope it's common sense. The OP did not say that either Norm or Benny are right BECAUSE of their credentials, which is a fallacy, merely that they've earned the right to be taken seriously.

@shehannanayakkara4162 1) He's old. 2) He doesn't care about some motormouthed streamer.
23
@laibanush5431 Cherish your ignorance.
23
@wannawin95 Doesn't watch Destiny; reads and repeats his tweets.
20
@Jomchen Did you just call Destiny an expert? Thank for discrediting yourself. Now I don't have to do it.
10
@Chrisletmecook Y'all are hopeless. Please just look up what an appeal to authority actually is, unless telling someone to look up information is an aPpEaL tO aUtHoRiTy too.

Don't look up the tweet he posted about Norm.
8
@Cradleling 1) Norm will go on pretty much any outlet. 2) Benny Morris.
5
@gershommaes902 I mean, I did watch the debate, unfortunately. If you want to live in your delusion, that's fine.
4
@harimauindia5775 That he crushed Norman Twinkelstein.
4
Benny Morris was probably the first Israeli historian to catalogue and reveal in detail the enormity of the Nakba. In later years his attitude changed from seeing the Nakba as a tragic human rights disaster to an unfortunate but necessary step in the Zionist project.
2
@aeric4304 Maybe when you grow up you'll have the good fortune to look back on this time and wonder how you could have been so gleeful and smug about the mass slaughter of an expelled and occupied people.
2
Correction: Analysts and one greasy gamer debatelord debate the 7 October events...
2
@Chrisletmecook Lmfao no that is not an appeal to authority. GTFO. That's not even close! Why are you people like this, seriously? When was Destiny wrong? What about when he said Israel killed four children in 2015 because they came out of a Hamas compound, which many eyewitness described as an old shack?
1
@dz_ca Look up what nascent means.
1
There's a good reason for that: that's what many in Israel's far right government want, a second Nakba. If the Palestinians leave, it's almost certain that they will never be able to return. You may not be able to get the remaining Palestinians to leave.
1
@wannawin95 You are, like Destiny and his fans, a deeply unserious and disgusting person.
1
Benny Morris is an Israeli historian. Mouin Rabbani is a Middle East analyst. Destiny is a streamer/debatelord that doesn't belong at that table.
1
Benny says that 30k is a small number within 4 months. More children have been killed in those 4 months than in all global conflicts during the last 4 YEARS. He has lost his heart.
