Wasn't this guy a human trafficker, and then he lied about it and tried to make it sound like he was part of some underground railroad saving people instead of helping to get easy to exploit labor.

@theheretic3764 I wish people would stop using this excuse when defending people like Beau (not that you are) - that you have to look at what he says rather than who he is. In a naive way that's true, for a given statement, but when you follow someone as a source of information and even a worldview (OP: he keeps me sane and grounded) then you need to see them in totality, not just as a dispenser of disparate facts. So when someone says that an unrepentant human trafficker with a phony accent who appeals to impressionable liberals with vaguely progressive domestic policy and imperialistic rhetoric, I would urge people to assess him on a deeper level than whether or not he correctly diagnoses the sky as blue. Obviously this is an extreme and unflattering comparison, but I don't listen to Alex Jones because of his record of being, well, Alex Jones, and even if he had what I thought was a correct take on a topic, I wouldn't feel the need to express my support for him or hold him up as a valid source of information.
