This "conspiracy theory" is more adequately explained by the facts at hand. We know Trump resisted a second test. We also know he resisted advice to check in at Walter Reed. We know aids planned to have him leave later in the day to avoid affecting the stock market - we don't need a hoax to explain that. If this were a sham, why would his staff be leaking information about his poor health which doctors corroborate? Why would Trump's physician be evasive during press briefings rather than transparently broadcast phony data? Isn't it more likely that Trump is telling his doctor not to say anything that would make him look bad? If it's a hoax, why have many other WH staff and Senators also contracted the virus? What's more likely - that Trump masterminded this scheme or that a bunch of stupid, arrogant rich people who didn't wear masks or distance ended up getting each other sick? Trump will try to exploit this situation to his perceived benefit, but that doesn't make it a hoax anymore than hurricane Katrina or the Iraq War were hoaxes.

@danielsam3280 Uh, I don't know where you're getting your information, but it's wrong/misleading. The US stock market dipped when Trump's positive test was revealed. It's gone back up in response to news that Trump might be released early (which is premature given what we know about the virus) and that a second stimulus is nearing approval. That's pretty predictable market behavior. No conspiracy theory needed. It's not true eg that the stock market was down the whole time Boris was in the hospital. The market (FTSE 100) dipped when he was diagnosed on March 27 and dipped further when he was admitted to the hospital a week later on April 6, but these events actually followed dips that began several days earlier, so the correlation isn't tight. Between Boris's admittance and discharge, the market trended upward. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/markets-are-shrugging-off-boris-johnsons-hospitalization-heres-why-2020-04-07

@danielsam3280 You can't be this dumb. You're not even trying to pay attention. Boris's case didn't "tank" the market, as I already showed. I don't know why I'm bothering. Conspiracy theorists are immune to facts. Anything I say to disprove your theory or show that it doesn't account for the facts is going to be met with magical thinking, baseless assumptions, inferred logic, and an array of speculations that are needed to plaster the holes in theory.

@danielsam3280 What an absolute brainlet. I didn't show that the market tanked because of Boris. I showed that it didn't. Go look at the FTSE 100. Read the article I linked.

@danielsam3280 What you could do - you won't- but what you could do is read the many doctors and experts who say it isn't remarkable for Trump to appear healthy at this stage. Even with blood oxygen levels as low as 70 he may not experience or exhibit shortness of breath or other signs. His mood may even be elevated, so-called "happy hypoxia." We also know that Trump demanded to be discharged. This wasn't a medical decision. https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/trump-covid-19-updates-monday/h_fd9b8ca1a0ed9c3cd65400f3b4673084 But any facts that falsify or put in kink in your theory can be waved away. So again, why am I even bothering.

@danielsam3280 And now Trump Jr. is saying his dad's acting crazy. Maybe they forgot to tell him it's all a hoax.

@danielsam3280 I don't think you've read anything on this situation, but you're convinced you know better than actual doctors. Amazing.

@danielsam3280 What else of your argument can I debunk for you? I've already debunked that Boris Johnson's admittance to the hospital tanked the stock market. It didn't. I've mentioned a number of complicating factors for your theory to which you never responded, predictably. I've debunked the idea that someone at this stage in the illness can't possibly be as well as Trump appears to be. I can provide plenty of quotes from doctors and experts to that effect, not because I did a google search (apparently you have an allergy to learning anything) but because I've read up on this issue as it's unfolded. You obviously haven't. I would be more than happy to share that information - or, God forbid, you could do a google search! Anything to disabuse you of this brainlet theory you've convinced yourself of, comrade.

@danielsam3280 Let me just be clear. If you're saying that Trump has covid but is manipulating his situation (recklessly) for PR and to cater to the stock market, I'm right with you. That makes total sense. If youre saying he's faking having covid in some 5-D electoral gambit, that makes no sense and is contradicted by everything we know so far.
