@konnermorris1753 We do not have those census records. Not sure where you learned that, but it's wrong.

@src3360 Uh...you ok bud?

If I've got the right Nicholas Wade, he's a journalist, not a virologist. According to his wiki: "His 2014 book A Troublesome Inheritance: Genes, Race and Human History was widely denounced by the scientific community for misrepresenting research into human population genetics." Maybe not the most trustworthy source.

@Clem68W Oh boy, is sarcasm that hard to detect?

Google Account #2 You really don't have any space to call anyone braindead after the mass of facts and information you've mangled, miscited, taken out of context, or conveniently ignored.
3
Google Account #2 Do you not know how to read? The report concludes "homicide" and names police restraint and neck compression as the direct cause. The author of the report then testified to that. You're doing some Olympic level mental gymnastics to avoid the obvious here.
3
Google Account #2 lol I'm not a liberal.
3
@nxbis No, it's because that's where the evidence is leaning so far.
3
@uhnile8 As I already pointed out, China also initially tried to hide the first SARS outbreak, but there was no lab leak in that case. Authoritarian governments hide stuff. This isn't shocking or new, or evidence of a leak. The other stuff you mention isn't even worth seriously addressing.
3
@uhnile8 Can you stay on topic?
3
@uhnile8 Please stay on topic.

The game seems thematically manipulative and contrived and to exhibit a hefty dose of what five or six years ago everyone was calling ludonarrative dissonance. It looks nice and takes itself very seriously, but in terms of the writing and gameplay it's somewhere between mediocre and fine. Just my sense.

Larry has pure snippy grandma energy.
2
@levihuerta9393 I didn't mean in the sense of scrapping, but of merely ceasing to produce them, in which case the decision is made by workers and communities. Who decides? You, in part, not just some guy with a lot of capital to throw around.
2
@AFoxNamedSly But who cares? And yes, Vader is black.
2
@crepooscul I had one "skeptic" tell me that genomic studies don't indicate the virus evolved naturally because they only studied SARS-COV-2, not the covid virus. Yeet me from this Earth.
2
Dope. Lucy Parsons is great.
2
@ElectrusBoom TBF if you were as dumb as dirt, you'd assume the land could vote as well.
2
@blackcasper0 I say, stop the steel! Only non-steel building materials from here on out!
2
@whoisheiforgothisname2103 Can you cite a study for these unnatural features? KG Andersen looked into this question specifically and found that its "unusual" features very likely have a natural origin. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-020-0820-9 E: maybe I misunderstood. When you say "unnatural features," do you mean naturally occurring features which would be unusual in an engineered virus?
2
@NorroTaku Maybe this experience could be turned into a teaching moment for the hogs concerning the false freedom of the capitalist system in which you have a choice between working and starving, of having one employer or another but never cooperative power over your work and workplace.
2
o1:{}:1o That sounds like two strikes.
2
Evidence so far points to the virus evolving naturally, not being a product of engineering. So what does gain-of-function have to do with it even if it did leak from a lab?
2
Well, you see, 2800 years ago...

"We have blood on our hands, too."

2021 is mostly local elections. 2022 is midterms.
2
@HelloWorld-kt7jk I don't think Trump cares about getting new voters. He just wants to discourage people and undermine the process. Hopefully it backfired.
2
Y-you're brain is on the floor. Please pick it up.

@sawtoothiandi 🤦♂️ More tangents, more bouncing around, each time less relevant than the last. Just an endless cavalcade of spam. Don't bother replying. I won't. Calling one of the most rigorous reviews by a group known and respected for its work on meta analyses "word salad" just shows the how shallow you are, as does your misunderstanding of what certainty and uncertainty are in science and why they're used. The Cochrane review is long and not easy reading. There's no chance you read and understood it in < 7 minutes.
2
What studies show there are signs of engineering in the virus's genome?
2
@Syakirin57 This is what google turns up: "The paper, the American scientists concluded, was deeply flawed. And a new online journal from MIT Press — created specifically to vet claims related to SARS-CoV-2 — reported Yan’s claims were “at times baseless and are not supported by the data” 10 days after she posted them." WaPo Thanks for further evidence to not take lab leak weirdos too seriously.😘
2
@Syakirin57 Because you clearly didn't do the bare minimum you're arrogantly telling others to do. She's not being censored. She did bad science. How about YOU google this stuff before posting? Sound good? And by "lab leak weirdos" I don't mean people who keep an open mind about it. I mean people who go around foaming about made up events, conspiracy theories, cover ups, cover ups of the cover ups, partial or circumstantial evidence, bogus studies, posting misleading information, or who insist that evidence against their claims is somehow proof of them.
2
In the case of Lenin that involved espousing one kind of theory then sweeping it aside to seize state power and suppress direct worker control.
2
@SlapMyCornDog Hey, hey, let's not just go around calling people redditors.
2
I'll admit it. I'm extraordinarily petty. It's my one character flaw. And I'm annoyed that if/when Biden loses to Trump, I won't even be able to say I told you so to the feckless, gormless Democrats who fluffed Biden's flaccid candidacy into November because they'll be too busy blaming everyone else but themselves, their failed candidate, and their top-down view of politics.
2
@Monkeyshaman Like this lib.

Invisible hand of Trump's death panels.

Frédéric Bastiat Forbes: Same Seder Humiliates Steven Crowder in Surprise Debate 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
2
Frédéric Bastiat I only write on scrolls of papyrus with nib and quill. You cannot possibly appreciate my level of sophistication, Sir Bastiat.
2
Frédéric Bastiat Never heard of him. Just love his dunk on coward Crowder.
2
@pellejonsson9069 Um. That wasn't a landslide.
2
@pellejonsson9069 Lol do you even know who you're talking to idiot? Stupid ass blue MAGA smdh. Biden is winning some states by tight margins—against Trump. It'd be nice if we had a national popular vote, but we don't sweetie. Go back to your brunch. E: "in history" there's more people now. Crazy, I know. Also in 92 Clinton won by 5.8m votes, so I don't know who taught you to count...
2
@pellejonsson9069 In 88 Reagan won by 7m votes. In 08 Obama won by 10m votes. In 12 Obama won by 5m. In 96 Clinton won by 8m votes. In 84 Reagan won by 17m votes. In 36 FDR won by 11m. That wasn't hard to debunk, was it? All those presidents had bigger margins in terms of actual numbers with fewer people in the electorate.
2
@pellejonsson9069 Moreover, a landslide is when a candidate wins an overwhelming majority of the votes. Neither by the EC nor the popular vote is Biden's win a landslide. He's gotten just barely over 50% of the vote. Go back and look at the election maps of past landslides. This ain't that.
2
@pellejonsson9069 Also, imagine being so stupid as to interpret the reascendence of neoliberalism as "socialism wins." Yep. Biden got a lot of votes. There are more people in the country than ever before, and we just had an unprecedented absentee voting campaign. Which is why Trump this year got the 2nd most votes of any candidate ever. This isn't surprising in context.
2
Just uh riffin on some Gertrude Stein. What?

Food Court Putsch

@topcatmatt Even Fukuyama came out recently and was like, eh maybe a little social democracy is good.

@user-th8sd8kq2i "You can't just say he said something he didn't say!!!" [Confirms he said it.]
2
@user-th8sd8kq2i I know plenty about Jordan. Thanks. He's a conman driven by ideology. I'm sorry if that's still not clear to you.
