  1. 8:12 The idea that people will be more productive, work less, and retire for longer is a foolish idea when you take into account that you as a person will eventually hit a peek in your productivity. This idea also doesn't factor in what has been talked about in this video, more old people and less working people than previous generations; you can't have indefinite population growth otherwise you end up with the issues places like India or China have with their large populations, population recessions are an inevitable part of life and sadly this will effect 1 generation more than another. You could allow more immigration but job growth isn't indefinite either and yet again you'll end up like China or India. You could include robots and AI to help people be more productive but unless there are laws in place keeping you from being replaced you'll end up in a detroit become human scenario as employers will find it more profitable to have a robot do your job. Regardless of what rout you take eventually every nation will run into this problem, the only thing you can do to mitigate this issue is to save money from periods in time when your countries have 2 workers for every 1 retired person and a good economy and spend it during these population downturns on retirement.
