If you want to mass produce spider silk you need to produce a synthetic version made from imitation spider glands modeled after the actual spider glands that produce spider silk, The closer you get to simulating the conditions of actual spiders In your machines the sooner you can mass produce the synthetic silk and maybe even improve on it.
