One thing that wasn't mentioned here in regards to debt during recession Is that you can declare bankruptcy if you find yourself unable to pay the debt back, I declared bankruptcy and they cleared me of all my debts without having to forfeit any of my assets it was the 1st time I've ever declared bankruptcy

  7.  @alexc2265  I think it's because I had few assets to begin with the only thing of real value they could have taken from me was my car and my computer, Other than that they would have had to have taken my gee hundred dollars I had saved up, my bed, and the clothes off my back. So I think the less unnecessary asset's you have the more likely you will get off like me. But that's just a guess

Wait $1,500 a month is $9 to $10 an hour for an 8 hours a day five-day work week most of the lowest income jobs I've seen across the country go as low as $12 an hour to $14 an hour this is still a terrible wage but it feels like you're scraping the bottom of the barrel here sort of misconstruing the data like you mentioned other people do

Yeah you live with your parents that makes things a hell of a lot easier to save me I'm living on my own 22 years old making $15.60 an hour but I only get to work 3 to 4 days a week and even if I wanted to pick up more days they won't let me my job caps my hours there's not much in the way of jobs that pay this well around where I live and no one really hires from Craigslist around here anymore so there goes side gigs you my darling had help from your parents and that is the biggest financial aid anyone can ever receive no one realizes how expensive bills get you don't have to pay $1,100 a month in living expenses this doesn't include in my savings account or my 401k nor does it go towards College if we all had somebody paying the bills for us it would be so much easier but my parents wanted me out of the house as soon as possible due to their financial blunders and I can't find a roommate no matter how hard I try because no one wants to have a roommate these days I've asked everyone from family to friends to complete strangers to felons and they all turned me down

  12. But doesn't putting all your money in 1 account help you earn more interest every month or year? I do this and just keep a ledger with every expense and savings amount written down, any time I want to splurge I check my ledger and see if I have enough to do so; if not I don't take any.

  14.  @184rama  more like most, most do not have that privilege; it angers me when people try to say it's easy to save money but then give tips that are unattainable to me and many others. It feel like they're just rubbing it in our faces.
