The US needs state owned mines, refineries, recycling, and manufacturing to help reduce the cost of equipment. Everything would be ran at cost.

The reason the US has a labor shortage in their military is due to the restriction they place on the people who can join, I wanted to join the military but was rejected because I was born with manic bipolar, I have good control over it even without my meds but but meds just make it easier. I could join the national guard where there is little threat of me going without medication. Even without it I would still be of sound enough mind to do my duties. I find it rediculess that they wont take me now but when things get dire enough they will draft me into a war without a car of whether I wanted to join or not.

@lukailic4932 then clearly you don't know anything about the mental condition, I have a long family history of military service dating back to WW2 my grandpa, who served during Vietnam acts like my father my father acts like me my cousin's father who served in Afghanistan acts like my father and grandfather; but they all come from an older generation where these things weren't commonly diagnosed or not known of at all, all of them served with distinction and honor all of them were fully capable of doing their jobs in the military but because some doctor finally discovered my family's long history of manic bipolar starting with me suddenly I'm not allowed to do what all my relatives have done unless WW3 breaks out and I'm drafted. A simple way to figure out who with mental condition diagnosis can still functionally serve in the military is to have them take a test both written and physical to see if their mental condition is severe enough or not to hamper their ability to function in the military.

@Rob_F8F no that's communism, socialism is more in line with social policies that make life for the general population better in coexistence with capitalism or other economic polices. The US Federal government already owns logging companies on federal land for the purposes of generating more money for the government to use.
